Terms and Conditions - Little Nomads

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made through the Little Nomads website.

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Little Nomads

Little Nomads is a sole proprietorship operating in Switzerland.

2. Services Provided

Little Nomads offers short-term rental of baby and child equipment to travelling and relocating families in Switzerland.

All items are provided clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition at the start of the rental period.

3. Bookings & Rental Period

• Bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully completed.
• The rental period starts and ends on the dates selected at checkout.
• Items must be returned on or before the agreed end date unless an extension has been approved in advance.

Late returns may incur additional charges.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are displayed in CHF unless stated otherwise.
• Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
• Prices exclude any refundable security deposit, where applicable.
• Delivery fees (if selected) are shown at checkout.

Little Nomads reserves the right to correct pricing errors or cancel bookings in case of obvious mistakes.

5. Delivery & Collection

Where delivery is selected:

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
• Failed or delayed delivery due to incorrect details may result in additional charges.
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to external factors.

Where self-collection is offered, collection instructions will be provided after booking confirmation.

6. Use of Rental Equipment

Customers agree to:

• Use all equipment safely and for its intended purpose
• Follow manufacturer safety guidelines
• Supervise children at all times when using rented equipment
• Not modify, repair, or sub-rent any rented items

Items must not be taken outside Switzerland unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Responsibility, Loss & Damage

The customer remains fully responsible for the rented items throughout the rental period.

This includes responsibility for:

• Loss
• Theft
• Damage beyond normal wear and tear

Normal wear and tear does not include broken parts, missing components, stains, or damage caused by misuse.

8. Damage Protection (Optional)

Damage Protection is an optional add-on, not insurance.

If selected:

• It covers accidental damage only
• It does not cover loss, theft, intentional damage, or negligence
• It does not remove the customer’s overall responsibility for the rented items

Where damage exceeds the scope of Damage Protection, the customer may be charged for repair or replacement costs.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing.

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund, including rental and delivery fees.
• Cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the rental start date will receive a refund of delivery fees only. Rental fees are non-refundable as the items have been reserved and unavailable for other bookings.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start date are non-refundable, including delivery fees.

No refunds are provided for early returns or unused rental days.

In exceptional circumstances, Little Nomads may offer a credit at its discretion.

10. Hygiene & Cleaning

All equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before each rental.

Customers must return items in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive cleaning may result in an additional cleaning fee.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Little Nomads is not liable for injuries, accidents, or losses resulting from the use of rented equipment
• Customers accept full responsibility for ensuring safe and appropriate use

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence or mandatory statutory rights.

12. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland.

14. Changes to These Terms

Little Nomads reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of booking shall apply.
